Cocktail of the Week: Negroni

You don’t have to be in college to take part in thirty Thursday, so enjoy this cocktail tonight!

Gin is light, refreshing and perfect for summer. However, I have gotten pretty sick of gin and tonics. In the hopes of using this alcohol in a new and different way, I found a recipe for a Negroni. I personally find gin and tonics slightly too bitter, and the Negroni balances the piney flavor of the gin with sweetness from the vermouth.  So trade in your tonic for Campari and sweet vermouth, and give this drink a try.

1 1/2 oz sweet vermouth

1 1/2 oz Campari

1 1/2 oz gin

Mix all the ingredients well and pour over ice. Garnish with an orange twist.
