We’re excited to share that Nopalize is launching their inaugural SEASONS event series. Nopalize is a food media movement supported by Nopa and Nopalito Restaurants in San Francisco, CA. Traditions and Rituals: Results Are In!

Feastly asked, and YOU answered! It’s no surprise that our community members see the dinning table as more than just a piece of furniture– It’s a space to connect, share and nourish our lives! A mindful meal shared, or on our own, makes each bite tastier– linking moments and flavors to make our most powerful memories. Here at Feastly, we unplug during lunch, soak in some rays, and taste each others’ food. Recharging together over a meal keeps us focused on our goal to make social dining accessible again. We were honored to read through your dynamic traditions, here is the winner’s story: My most memorable tradition around the dinner table is… “My mother and grandmother are both very superstitious and would never set a table for an odd number, but especially 13. An extra plate would always be set at the table even if it was crowded. No matter the number of times I gave my mom that, “Really?” look, she would shrug and say, “I can’t help it” and the table setting would …

The Power of Community…and Cake

Feastly was lucky to get the inside scoop from Bettina Banayan, a French Culinary Institute student, who you may have seen or heard of as the well-dressed lady who chopped onions on the New York City subway in 2012. Well she is back in her latest social/food stunt with ‘Subway Cake Performance’ which has gained almost 240,000 views in a week! More importantly perhaps, is the light she sheds on the people around her and beyond – that food indeed is a catalyst for community, a show of kindness, and a tangible element of human interaction. Watch her video and read our interview with Bettina below. When did you get into cooking for others? In high school my friends and I had potluck dinners since there is nothing else to do in suburbia when you’re 16. I would make extravagant meals that I was incapable of doing like bacon wrapped deep fried Mac ‘n Cheese. When I started living in Manhattan with my friend Kathryn I realized I had to start cooking. I would make …

Fantasy Feastly Meals

Lately, as obvious by my shameless promotion, I have been spending most of my time on Pinterest. It has really become my fantasy dream world (not that my real life isn’t great, hello I work for Feastly what could be better!) where I can pin pictures of foods I want to eat, places I want to travel and celebrities I want to look like. I can dream of traveling to Italy, eating endless pistachio gelato and having the abs of Halle Berry with just the pin of some photos. Besides planning my ultimate beach wedding to Channing Tatum on Pinterest, I also like to plan Feastly meals in unbelievable homes. Today I will share these destination Feastly meals with you, in secret hope that one of these spectacular kitchens belongs to a reader. The themes might be a little outlandish but hopefully it will inspire you to host a Feastly meal in your indubitably great kitchen! Hello swim up bar! Bring your bathing suit, sun screen and bucket hat to this Feastly meal! The menu …
