Last night, Feastly cooks Greer Gilchrist and Lisa Markuson took 12 adventurous Feasters on a food and cultural tour of Cuba.
Guests arrived to warm empanadas, and cool tropical juices to mix with the assorted rums brought by each guest.
After stuffing ourselves with appetizers, the main course arrived! Greer assembled plates for each guest from the beautiful assortment of stuffed plantains, chorizo, black beans, massaged kale salad (personally massaged with love and affection by Greer), and zucchini nests.
Naturally, with the meal came more tropical drinks, great conversation, and even some spontaneous Salsa dancing by our hosts, in addition to general overall merriment by all.
And, just when we couldn’t eat any more, the hosts returned, passing plates of adorable little avocado pies!
As usually happens, everyone ended up hanging out in the kitchen after the meal.
Overall, another great meal! Now, we move onto the next one, a six-course, market fresh meal for six at a beautiful home in Columbia Heights.
